Young Professional Smartification

COVID-19 is changing the world in many ways. A huge number of young professionals and university students are spending time at home. Some are demotivated while others are looking for an opportunity to grow during this social isolation. While there are many online courses on hard (technical) skills, there are not any well packaged soft skills training courses designed in the context of Bangladesh.

COVID-19 has also increased the demand for a skilled workforce. Besides the common skills required in everyday business (Communication, Time Management, Presentation, etc), it has also increased the need for 4IR soft skills like Decision Making, Critical Thinking, Problem Solving, Emotional Intelligence, etc.

To bring a solution to these issues, Smartifier Academy initiated ‘Young Professional Smartification (YPS). It’s an online training program on 27 topics focusing on soft skills. The course is free of cost for the first batch. The program is being jointly organized with SpikeStory. Star Youth, The Daily Star, is the media partner of this initiative.

So far, 35 university clubs have joined as partners to this program. From 40 districts, 2,893 people have registered and 3300+ people are in the Facebook group. More than 380-500 live participants are attending the sessions every day. 5 training sessions have been conducted so far.

This course is mainly geared towards young professionals with 0-3 years of work experience.

This course will help university students to realize and utilize their potential to the fullest; resulting in having a competitive standing in a skill-based job selection process.
