13 Reasons Why Review

13 Reasons Why, a high school drama by Netflix, is based on a 2007 novel by Jay Asher where a 17-year-Old-Hannah Baker kills herself. She leaves 13 sides of cassette tapes behind in which her narrations of the wrongdoings around her is present. Each sides contain a reason which people involved are supposed to listen and pass it on to the next person.

Besides Hannah, the main character of the show is Clay Jensen, who listens to all the tapes with the intention to avenge the ones who made her commit suicide. From bullying to sexual assaults, usage of drugs and a lot of dark scenes, binge watching this show is not so beneficial. This mixture of thriller and morbid teenage melodrama show contains naturalistic depictions of rape and suicide.

After coming out in 2017, the show came out with a second season in 2018. There is no official date for the third season so far.
